Meet the team - Core Leaders

GVC has six Core Leaders who are responsible for the spiritual oversight and day to day running of GVC.

Dave Francis

Dave Francis

Dave is married to Alison, a local primary school teacher, and they have two children, Hannah and Katie.   He became a Christian at the age of 21, then went to Mattersey Bible College to study theology for 3 years.  He has been working for GVC, initially part time then full-time, for over 20 years.

After working for many years primarily, but not exclusively, with young people, Dave now oversees the Core Leadership team.  He has a desire to see the church grow and be strong, to see the development of the prophetic, to encourage people in terms of their gifting and discipleship, and to facilitate church unity in Portishead.

He is an active member of Portishead Churches Together.  In terms of hobbies, he goes fishing (sea and coarse fishing) when his wife lets him.
