What we do - Adults
Housegroups meet on different days of the week typically in the evenings but also on a Sunday for families. These groups are aimed at providing encouragement, Bible study, prayer and support for each other. Full details of house groups is available here.
If you would like to attend a housegroup contact: Dave Francis email@example.com
We meet on the first Saturday of each month (except August) from 8.00am - 10.00pm at No.4 Combe Road, Portishead. Starting with an informal cooked breakfast and followed by discussion (from a biblical perspective) around areas that have a particular relevance to men – work, home, community etc. The aim is to encourage an open atmosphere where we can share and pray over the joys and challenges of living as a Christian man in today’s world.
From these regular meetings, other activities aimed at reaching out to our local community take place (e.g. BBQ for special sporting events) along with other informal groups that meet around shared interests and where friends and neighbours are invited.

In our multi-tasking and busy scheduled lives, women rarely find an atmosphere where we can stop and reflect on our daily walk with God. Women’s Breakfast is designed to help.
We meet on the third Saturday of each month (except December) from 8:30am to 10:30am at No.4 Combe Road, Portshead, when we have a relaxed breakfast and a time of prayer together.

GVC is a very active church with a heart to reach out to our community and world with the good news of Jesus. All that happens within our church and the wider community needs to be underpinned with a culture of prayer. Our two weekly prayer groups, both last for just one hour, pray for a range of areas that the church is involved with including youth and children's work, community outreach, world vision and needs of the church, local community and country.
Monday: 8.30pm - 9.30pm at No.4 Combe Road, Portishead

We also hold a 'week of prayer' usually at the beginning of each year and hold many other special prayer days throughout the year. Details about special prayer days can be found on the GVC Newsletter and news page on this website.
