We love families and children and think they're one of God's great ideas, which is why we have run Cludo Club for over 30 years in Portishead! We are committed to supporting families of all shapes and sizes in our community. We know the long summer holiday's can feel a bit daunting, so this summer, we're excited to bring back Cludo Club, our free church club for 3 days, Wed 26 July to Fri 28 July at St Joseph’s Primary School. Plus we've got two family days later in the summer holidays to enjoy - swimming at the Lido and miniature railway at Ashton Court. And we'll be getting messy in the garden with Muddy Play...
We can't wait to catch up with you and enjoy summer together! GOT KIDS AGED 10-17? Head to our Challengers page to find out about Summer Youth Activities! |
Cludo Club, our free church club for 3 days runs Wed 26 July to Fri 28 July at St Joseph’s Primary School. We have spaces for 80 Portishead primary-aged children. For those who've been to Cludo before, it's going to be a bit different...
Morning activities.... From 9.45am to 12:30 the children will be joining in with craft activities, singing songs, learning different stories from the Bible and generally having fun. Our theme this year is ‘ordinary people doing extraordinary things’. Some of the different activities will take place together or as part of smaller groups and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers with DBS checks will be supporting your child in all of these activities. |
Family picnic lunch.... At 12:30 we are inviting parent/carers to bring picnic lunch and stay for the afternoon activities and join in. You are welcome to bring your pre-schoolers to join you for lunch and the afternoons.
The afternoon sessions 1:30-3pm will be varied each day with; ‘potted’ sports (non-serious sports activities - think welly tossing), a choice of activity afternoon which your child can sign up to (including craft making, icing biscuits, football, science) and hopefully an engaging show with puppets and illusions (an interval of hot and cold drinks and cake available to all). |
