The church supports through finance, prayer and mission trips a number of people and organisations involved in bringing the gospel to other nations and the Bible teaches us that one of the effects of being empowered by the Holy Spirit is moving to the wider world with the Gospel: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NIV).  The support of those who are engaged overseas is an important part of this work.

Andrew and Erin are part of TACO, using their gifts in music art and drama. TACO aim to “creatively proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to Muslim peoples everywhere”. GVC partners with SAT-7, a Christian media ministry serving the Middle East and North Africa. SAT-7’s teams comprise local Christians working in studios in Beirut, Cairo, Istanbul and Cyprus. Our support helps them create powerful, faith-filled television and digital media programmes that bring joy, show love and strengthen faith. 

SAT-7’s Vision is to see a growing Church in the Middle East and North Africa, confident in Christian faith and witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society and culture.

Poland - The Orlowski's

GVC has developed links with two Pentecostal church in the South of Poland through their respective pastors. The link is also supported by the George Muller Foundation in Bristol.  This relationship has also been instrumental in fostering a twinning between Gordano School and the Secondary school in Skawina. Peter and Jack (Piotr and Jacek) visit us from time to time and we them.  In the past youth teams from the churches have also visited.

Spain - The Barrett's

Ken and Alison Barrett are working in Alcala de Henares helping lead a local church in a high rise area, considerably reduced for the moment by planting another. A new initiative in 2011 was the inauguration of a "Kofi Jaus" ministry to provide links into the highly secularised community. On a national level they help run the Madrid Bible Teaching Centre with ministries in publishing, teaching and heritage projects. Ken travels to South America and is known for his open air work with "on the Red Box" in Madrid´s city centre. They have two grown up children, Tim in Australia and Esther in France.

Creative Solutions - Burundi, Kenya and Rwanda

Arising out of the ministry of Peter & Jenny Kay between 1984 -1993 and 2006 – 2012, working in partnership with the PEFA churches in Kenya and the FECABu churches in Burundi, this UK registered charity supports projects in each of these countries. The 4 trustees of Creative Solutions are all members of GVC.
It is so exciting to be able to ‘make a difference’ – a little money goes a long way in Africa. As we give and go, we see many blessed and are blessed ourselves.
