We love families and children and think they're one of God's great ideas, but we know parenting can be hard work, sometimes lonely and often expensive, which is why we host free and low-cost family fun activities in the summer holidays and school half terms.  We are committed to supporting families of all shapes and sizes and building a community together who love and care for each other.  Come join us!

Muddy Play days...

Join us for an afternoon of free family fun under the willow trees:

Easter holidays: Wed 9 & 16th April, 2-4pm

These events are especially aimed at families with primary-aged children, although younger and older siblings are welcome too. We will have snacks for the kids and hot drinks for the adults. These events will happen even if it rains, so pack a waterproof and come join the fun!
All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them at all times.  No need to book, just turn up!

This free community event is jointly run by Gordano Valley Church and Willow Community Gardens at Willow Gardens, behind Portishead Medical Group.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE DOCTORS CARPARK. PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN ALDI/SOMERSET HALL CARPARK.

Summer family fun...

Cludo Club this year was Tues 30 July - Thur 1 Aug 2024!
We had a fab time this summer with 3 full days of Cludo fun at St Joseph's School, we enjoyed music, crafts, sports, bible stories, science and quizzes in the morning.  Lunchtime were special as we were joined with parents and carers to picnic together, before afternoons of family fun  including rocket-making, puppets, miniature gardens, iced biscuits, fun science, football and more!
We also had an amazing afternoon outing to the trains at Ashton Court, a family swim at Portishead Lido, and a special Cludo Sunday, where we proved food, church and bouncy castles can mix!
