We know parenting can be hard work, sometimes lonely and often expensive, which is why we host free and low-cost family fun activities in the summer holidays and school half terms. We are committed to supporting families of all shapes and sizes and building a community together who love and care for each other. Connect this summer at Cludo, family days out & Muddy Play!

Cludo Club runs from, Tues 29 July - Thur 31 July at St Joseph's Primary School. Plus we are running two family days out on Tues 12 Aug - Swimming and Thurs 21 Aug - Trains @ Ashton Court. Booking opens for Cludo on Sun 15 June, scroll down to book.
The theme this year is 'All hands on deck'. We have spaces for 70 Portishead primary-aged children (your child needs to have attended reception year or above) and their families. |

During each morning 9.45am to 12:30 the children will be joining in with crafts, songs, bible stories, sports and games. Our theme this year is 'All hands on deck'. Some of the different activities will take place together or as part of smaller groups and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers with DBS checks will be supporting your child in all of these activities, many of whom have previous or current experiences working with children. |

At 12:30 we are inviting parent/ carers to bring picnic lunch and stay with their children for the afternoon activities and join in as much as you can. You are welcome to bring your pre-schoolers to join you for lunch and the afternoons.
We can accommodate if a family friend will be supervising your child for lunch and afternoons. |

The afternoon sessions 1:30pm until 3:00pm are for you to enjoy together as a family. They will be varied each day with team challenges, a choice of activity afternoon which your child can sign up to (including craft making, ball skills mini gardens, music workshop and rockets). This year we also hope to have a visit from our local RNLI team.

Join us for an afternoon of free family fun under the willow trees:
Summer holidays: Wed 6, 13, 20, 27 August, 2-4pm These events are especially aimed at families with primary-aged children, although younger and older siblings are welcome too. We will have snacks for the kids and hot drinks for the adults. These events will happen even if it rains, so pack a waterproof and come join the fun! All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them at all times. No need to book, just turn up! This free community event is jointly run by Gordano Valley Church and Willow Community Gardens at Willow Gardens, behind Portishead Medical Group. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE DOCTORS CARPARK. PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN ALDI/SOMERSET HALL CARPARK. |
