Victorian Evening

The Victorian Evening is an event on Portishead High Street in the middle of December. Each year we take part in the event and dress up in our best victorian outfits, so much so we often get in the local paper in our outfits. Shoebox Appeal

Members of GVC help to collect and sort shoeboxes for Blythswood Care Shoe Box Appeal each October/November. Each year we sort and check well over 100 shoeboxes from around the Gordano Valley Area.

Portishead Raft Race

Each year we enter a team into the Portishead Raft Race, we have so much fun! Speak to Dave if you are interested in being part of our team (df@gvc.org.uk)

Youth Awards Night

Each year we are part of the team that help to put on the Youth awards night. The Youth Awards night is a night to celebrate and congratulate those young people that have been making a difference and impact on the community whether that is through a club they help out in or as part of the youth council of the town. Portishead Carnival

We enter a float in the Portishead Carnival every few years, last time we did Beauty & the Beast and won a trophy for best youth float! If you are interested in being part of our next float contact Sarah (sarah@gvc.org.uk)

Window Wonderland

For the last few year Portishead has hosted its own Window Wanderland and GVC has taken part for the last few years as part of the trail.
